Keller Excavation is a locally owned and owner-operated excavation company based in Chugiak, Alaska, proudly serving Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak, Palmer, and Wasilla. We are also willing to travel outside our primary service area for the right project. Every job is performed by Mark Keller, ensuring hands-on quality, accountability, and attention to detail from start to finish.

Mark Keller brings a decade of experience to every project. Before starting Keller Excavation, Mark worked as an equipment operator and excavation superintendent for the largest custom home builder in Alaska, gaining extensive expertise in residential excavation, site development, grading, and construction support. That background means your project is handled with professional standards, efficiency, and a deep understanding of Alaska ground conditions.

I offer residential and small scale commercial dirt work. I work hard to exceed your expectations with minimal impact to the land. My rubber tracked mini excavator is the perfect machine for the job.

Gravel Driveways & Parking Pad

Need a new driveway or parking pad installed? I can take care of all your needs from cutting in your new driveway, setting the grade for proper drainage, preparing the base and spreading the top coat.

Gravel driveways always need maintenance. Water run off and drainage is the main cause. Finding the start of this problem is key. Once repaired and the drainage rerouted your driveway will need less maintenance.

I fix all those problems associated with drainage described above along with regrading your existing driveway, fixing problems like ruts, potholes and low spots. I can top it with a layer of D1 and give you a new look.

Material Hauling & Garden Soil

High quality materials delivered to you. Offering various forms of aggregate, sand and soil. My most sold products include:

-Non frost fill for holes/foundations
-D-1 for driveways and pads
-Drainage rock and gravel
-Decorative rock.
-Mulch / Wood chips

I personally choose the best soil Anchorage and Mat-Su has to offer. 60% peat / 40% loam mix. Always available.

Disposal, Dumpster & Demolition

Have some old buildings and sheds falling down or rusty sharp junk on your property? Removing these items gives you a clean new look and eliminates your liability as a homeowner.

Getting ready to sell your home or move in? I offer move out/in services to get your property looking the best and sell fast. First impressions happen outside the home, let us get your property looking its best.

I offer dumpster service as well. I drop off my 7x14 dump trailer and you load up to 4 tons or 12 cubic yards of debris. I'll pick the trailer back up and take it to the dump. You never leave the property!

HR, 1/2 day and full day rentals

Tree Service and Firewise

Removing trees has many benefits. More sunlight, air flow and cuts down on the mosquitos.

My services include tree removal, trimming, brushing, chipping and stump removal. I don't remove hazardous trees next to structures or power lines.

Wild fires and neighborhood fires happen far too often. This is the biggest risk most homeowners face. Firewise principals help reduce that risk of damage or loss from fires.

I follow state guidelines and strategically select the correct trees and undergrowth to remove. Bring in aggregate where needed. Homeowner Firewise education included. Together we can give you the defensible space you need!

Garden Development

A love of mine is designing and revitalizing gardens. Together we will analyze your space and needs, select your site and design your new growing space. I can guide and instruct you to be successful.

I personally choose all the soil and amendments for our installs assuring proper nutrients, PH and drainage.

Another popular growing option in Alaska is greenhouse's. With our mild nights Alaskan greenhouses extend your growing season and let you grow vegetables that otherwise won't thrive.

It starts with the foundation and a good pad. Our greenhouse pads will help you get the longest life out of your greenhouse.
